Romeo & JulietAmanda worked with thirty 14-18 year olds to create a physically stylized, intimate performance of Romeo and Juliet.
Audience members were assigned into the Capulet and Montague Households and seated directly on stage by the actors. This production featured dynamic stage combat, original live music composed by students, and a series of mobile ladders as the main set pieces. In the final moments of the production, audience members were invited on stage to place hand crafted metal roses at the tomb of Romeo and Juliet. Lawrence Arts Center Lawrence, KS June 21-23, 2018 |
