Baby DiscoIn spring of 2019, Amanda developed Baby Disco: a daytime dance party for 0-6 year olds, an event designed specifically for very young children and their families. She collaborated with adult artists, very young children, and their families through a series of Play Lab research sessions. During these sessions, a musician experimented with original music while studying very young children as they danced and painted with their hands and feet. Baby Disco featured both the live score and the artwork that was created.
The event also included snacks, an open dance floor, and the chance to meet other families with very young children in the Lawrence community. Amanda Pintore served as the lead researcher and coordinator on this project. Lawrence Arts Center Lawrence, KS April 6, 2019 |
