AtmosphereIn fall of 2019, Amanda partnered with visual artist Sharon McCaman in the development of Atmosphere, a participatory installation and performance for 2-6 year-olds and their families. They collaborated with adult artists, very young children, and their educators through a series of Play Lab research sessions. Research participants explored light, wind, clouds, rain, and sky and, as a result, the production of Atmosphere was based entirely on the ideas that emerged. This production was built in partnership with the Ballard Center.
The interactive (and touchable!) installation, designed by Sharon McCaman, ran free to the public for six weeks. The ticketed performances of Atmosphere featured live music, dancing, and tactile exploration. Amanda Pintore served as the lead researcher and director on this project. Lawrence Arts Center
