Ish

In spring of 2019, Amanda Pintore created Ish, a dance performance featuring 60 youth dancers at the Lawrence Arts Center. This performance featured digital animation and live drawing on overhead projectors. 

Based on the book by Peter H. Reynolds, two siblings explore the joy and challenges of drawing what they see in their imaginations. Watch as one helps the other understand that sometimes the perfect flower you try to draw may look, most delightfully, only flower-ish.

​Amanda Pintore served as the director and co-choreographer alongside Hanan Misko and Juliet Remmers.
